Dear Surgical Supplier:
As President of the Southern California Chapter of the American College of Surgeons, I
invite you to participate in our annual scientific meeting at the Four Seasons Biltmore,
Santa Barbara, California, on Friday, January 16 through Sunday, January 18, 2009. As the
largest chapter of the College, our membership numbers over 2,000 and includes surgeons
in both clinical practice as well as those in academic medical centers in Southern
California. Surgeons from many specialties attend the meeting, including General Surgery,
Cardiothoracic Surgery, Head and Neck Surgery, Trauma, Cob-Rectal, Oncology, Plastic
Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Pediatric Surgery, and Vascular Surgery. As in past years,
members of other chapters of the College are also invited to the meeting, giving an average
attendance of well over 350 surgeons.
This year, at the suggestion of past exhibitors, the exhibit area will be open from 7am —
4pm on Friday and Saturday only. The $2,000 participation fee for exhibitors includes one
table-top exhibit space strategically placed near the lecture room to provide maximum
exposure to all meeting participants. (Take advantage of the Early Bird rate of $1,750 for
payments received by November 15th!) The Poster Session of scientific presentations will
be held adjacent to the exhibit area and all coffee and refreshment breaks will be in the
exhibit area. And, we will be providing sandwiches and drinks in the exhibit area during the
open lunch hour on Friday.
Exhibitor’s company name, address, and telephone numbers will be printed in the official
program. Companies electing to sponsor a particular social function or specialty section
with an additional donation will receive special recognition in the program and from the
podium (see the accompanying list of opportunities). We will again utilize “bingo” cards with
the popular drawings in the exhibit area for prizes donated by exhibitors which provide
bonus visibility for those companies.
Please complete the accompanying form and return it to our offices at the address below in time
to take advantage of the November 15th early bird rate. The Chapter appreciates your
support. We know that you find the meeting rewarding and enjoyable.
