Mission of the LASS:

To disseminate knowledge in the field of surgery and to encourage clinical and basic research in surgery by the provision of forums for scientific presentations and discussions and to influence the practice of surgery in the Los Angeles community by the exemplary professional, moral, and ethical conduct of its members.
