| The
Los Angeles Surgical Society (LASS) was founded over 75 years ago
to provide a cordial and collegial way for surgeons in the Southern
California area to meet. As one of the oldest and most prestigious
medical organizations in the area, the LASS hosts an annual series
of guest surgical speakers drawn from around the country and globe.
The venue is usually a dinner meeting
at a downtown hotel convenient to a number of freeways. One meeting
is devoted to research from a regional medical center, and the January
event is a black tie President's Dinner with a special location
and program. The atmosphere is friendly, social and educational,
and the meetings provide a much needed respite from the hectic and
sometimes frustrating professional lives we lead today. Guests,
including colleagues and surgical residents, are always welcome.
Membership in the Los Angeles Surgical
Society is limited to Board Certified surgeons who have established
a practice in Southern California and who are members of the American
College of Surgeons.
To apply for membership, please
complete the enclosed application form and return it to the LASS
office. Feel free to call the office at (310) 364-0193 for any questions
or to obtain a current membership roster. The LASS office or one
of the officers can assist you in obtaining references from current
members. We hope to hear from you soon! |
