2025 Call For Abstracts

The Program Committee of the Southern California Chapter, American College of Surgeons, invites your participation in the 2025 Annual Scientific Meeting at The Ritz-Carlton Bacara in Santa Barbara, CA, January 10-12, 2025. You are invited to submit an abstract on a clinical or laboratory research project of your choice.

Abstracts will only be accepted through the online submission form – the form opened for submissions on July 15, 2024 and will accept submissions through the deadline of 11:59 pm on September 4, 2024. Abstracts must conform to the Instructions for Preparation of Abstract, and may not have been submitted to a journal for publication, published previously, or presented at a national or regional meeting prior to the 2025 Chapter meeting.

Chief trauma surgeon gives life-saving training to LAPD’s elite

Renowned surgeon provides life-saving training to LAPD's elite

Former Past-President and current member of the SoCal Chapter of ACS, Dr. Kenji Inaba, is the Chief of Trauma at one of LA's busiest hospitals and a reserve police officer who trains LAPD's elite. Dr Inaba was featured on February 13, 2024 by CBS News for providing life-saving training to the LAPD.

Submit Articles to The American Surgeon

As the various levels of COVID-19 lockdowns have brought many of us into clinical inactivity, it may be a good time to finish some of the clinical and research publications that have been set aside over the years. The American Surgeon can always use good content from the members of the Southern California Chapter of the American College of Surgeons. They are looking for high-quality clinical studies of interest to surgeons in active practice.

Membership Renewal

For current Chapter members, the Membership year is January to December each year. Renewal invoices have been mailed, but you have the option of renewing your membership online! You will need your membership login information - your username is your Chapter ID number on your renewal invoice. Contact the Chapter office if you need assistance.

The 2025 meeting Annual Scientific Meeting will be held at the Ritz-Carlton Bacara, Santa Barbara, January 10-12, 2025. Abstract submission is now open. Submit yours before the September 4, 2024 deadline.
