The Great Debates of SoCal ACS

The Great Debates of SoCal ACS (formerly called Battle of the Blades), which is traditionally part of the General Surgery/MIS specialty session, will pit teams from area teaching programs to address opposite sides of controversial questions in general/minimally invasive surgery. This session, featuring eight opinionated chief residents and their wily faculty coaches, will take place Saturday afternoon, January 20th!

The teams will debate some burning questions. Each debate will take place in 15 minutes with 4-minute Point and Counter Point by each R-5, 2 minute rebuttal by each faculty coach, 3 minutes to poll the audience and select the winner.

Support your Teaching Program! Prepare to be enlightened and entertained, as the best surgical minds in Southern California compete once again in 2024 for the coveted (and very blingy) Tanzini Trophy!!
