Overview
The educational program consisteded of faculty led didactic and hands-on experiences with the da Vinci Robotic Systems. The program trained Trauma/Acute Care Surgery/Surgical Critical Care Fellows who were interested in adding robotic surgery to their armamentarium or enhancing their robotics technique, and are committed to completing all elements of the program training pathway. Each participant spent one day in the faculty led hands-on program. The program featured focused short didactic talks and hands-on console training for robotic inguinal and ventral hernia repair, and robotic bowel repairs/resections as well as anastomoses.
