Resident Trauma Paper Competition

The American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma (ACS COT) hosts an annual Resident Trauma Paper Competition. Residents of all surgical specialties as well as trauma fellows from all COT Regions are eligible for participation.

All abstracts on trauma care including basic or clinical research are considered. Winning papers at the state level compete at the Region IX competition the first Saturday of December. Winners of the regional competitions are invited to participate in the national competition during the Committee on Trauma Annual Meeting. The abstracts and papers may have been previously presented but not published in any peer-reviewed journal before the annual national competition.
