Mission of the American College of Surgeons (ACS) Committee on Trauma (COT) is to develop and implement programs that promote injury prevention and improve the care and outcomes of trauma patients. “These programs incorporate advocacy, education, trauma center and trauma system resources, best practice creation, outcome assessment, and continuous quality improvement.”
