MISSION STATEMENT FOR SCCACS

The Mission of the Southern California Chapter is to support the practice, teaching and science of Surgery in Southern California through scholarship, mentorship, Fellowship and advocacy, by means of scientific meetings and continuing education, in partnership with the American College of Surgeons.

PURPOSE OF THE CHAPTER:

To promote the aims, interests, ideals and programs of the American College of Surgeons and to serve as a means of communication between the members of the Chapter and the College. To elevate the standards of practice, training and education in surgery and provide a means through which the Fellows may communicate with other professional and civic groups concerned with the improved delivery of health care.
