Human trafficking is prevalent in CA and SB 963 requires Emergency Departments (ED) to have a protocol for patients to self-identify or screen for human trafficking along with subsequent support and resources. The Orange County Human Trafficking Task Force Healthcare Subcommittee has developed an informative presentation on human trafficking and the intersection with healthcare.
